On this page you will find the necessary information that needs completed in order to be a coach in our league along with some helpful information.
ALL VOLUNTEERS must complete a background check. These will be emailed to each individual person that volunteers in our league. Managers will collect email addresses for all team volunteers and turn them in so that the background checks can be sent. Even if you have completed background checks for another volunteer position or for employment, you will still need to complete the Little League approved one each year.
All managers and coaches need to be certified in concussion safety. You can complete the course through NFHSLearn.com. These need completed every 3 years.
The safety and well-being of all participants in the Little League® program continues to be paramount and this course is required to be completed by all volunteers each year.
All Managers and Coaches need to be Diamond Leader Certified
Focused on ensuring children have a positive, well-rounded experience on and off the field, the Little League® Diamond Leader Training Program is a FREE educational resource that provides coaches with an understanding of the impact that mental, social, and emotional well-being has in youth sports through detailed information, interactive scenarios, and a variety of additional resources.
This certification does not expire. Once you've completed it, you will not need to retake it.
